Sustainability: Granite, like other stone materials, is not really thought of as a true green product. While it is a renewable resource, it can take thousands of years for Mother Nature to produce. But because granite lasts a lifetime and does not emit harmful chemicals or gasses, it is considered a sustainable material.
Durability: Granite is one of the most heat-resistant countertop materials available. It can withstand extreme heat; thus, it can be placed near a cooktop, and a hot pan or dish can be set down on it without damaging or weakening it. Furthermore, granite is not susceptible to scratches. Take note, though, that granite can dull knives and other blades.
Low maintenance: Cleaning a granite countertop is quite easy, all it needs is warm water and a mild detergent. There is also not that much need for repair because of its said durability and the sealers used in installing granites will last more than ten years.
Aesthetics: One of the best reasons for choosing a granite countertop is its timeless aesthetic value. There are various choices of colors and designs, and it can either serve as the kitchen’s centerpiece, or it can complement the other features of the kitchen.
