However, nowadays the selection has grown. Bold floral designs, jutes and sisals, loud geometrics, and novelty rugs have all been added to the list. Your area rug shouldn’t be matching with everything in the room. It would be best to learn about what’s available. Do your research about the material so as to know what atmosphere it would bring to your room.
Color is as important as the pattern. If the rug color matches the room well, then you are setting the tone of your space just as it is supposed to be. Check if the color of the rug compliments the colors of your preexisting items in the room, as doing this can create harmony in the atmosphere. Decide whether you want your rug to blend in or stand out.
Area rug sizes matter. Sometimes the rugs are too small for the room and that’s a mistake. It’s best to make sure that the rug is placed at the center of room, and that the distance between the rug and the wall is the same for all the sides.
